How do star ratings work?

  • Updated

Customers can rate the quality of their order using a 5-point scale (represented by stars) and delivery on a 3-point scale (represented by emojis).

A store’s rating for each order is calculated by combining customers’ ratings for quality and delivery, with equal weight given to each. A store’s overall rating is then determined by averaging all ratings left in the last 12 months. The overall rating is updated whenever a new rating is submitted. We present a store's overall rating in key places, including under its name on the store listing page, displayed as stars or a decimal rating.

Customers can also leave a review for their order to share their experience or provide feedback to the store. Consumer reviews will only be visible to the store.

In limited circumstances, ratings connected to moderated reviews (i.e., submitted for the same order) may still count toward the store’s overall rating. For more info on when reviews/ratings may be removed and what this means, take a look at How do I leave a review?
